About Us

Life should'nt be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly shouting
WOW! WHAT A RIDE! THANK YOU LORD!!!!

.
Growing up with Angus Cattle and having raised club lambs the past 16 years, we have always been intrigued with grass feeding of livestock. Ruminants were created to consume fiberous feedstuffs and convert them to nutritionous meat and milk. Something humans are incapable of doing.

After a trip to New Zealand, which allowed me to see 1st hand their grazing systems, we set out to convert our pastures to higher quality forages. Legumes serve as a base forage in New Zealand. These legumes generate a very tasty, tender, well textured finished meat that readily meet consumer demand.

Being active in 4-H and livestock showing, our kids recently generated an interest in cattle. Living on a small acreage and wanting to utilize our forage base led us to discover American Lowline Cattle.

Since starting this endeavor, we have been amazed with these animals. They are docile, low maintenance, fertile and thirve on forage. Our percentage cows weigh either side of 1000 lbs, making them great commercial cattle that compete in the showring.
